I feel for a man who found himself in a wrong place at the wrong time, and was accused for something there was no proff he did, and his life ruined based on accusations of a girl who was intoxicated as much as he was… they shared the causes, but consequences he must bear alone…
If engine driver in Japanese train, or cattle feeder in Australian farm, or nurse in your local kindergarten, failed to appear in their jobs as scheduled, a number of people would be affected by their absence (including yourself in this last example).
But if a politician failed to appear in parliament, would anyone feel the difference? I doubt.
